Be Informed! Join Our Drumming Group Here
Who? Everyone 12 and up
Where? Room To Move Studio
When? Second Friday of EVERY month
Time? 6pm - 7:30 pm
Cost? $10
Donations can be on a sliding or barter basis. Please don’t be shy; communication is key. No one feeling the call to join us will be turned away.
What to expect. The lights are turned down low. A basic rhythm begins the creative process. Participants join in, layering their own rhythm by playing their chosen instrument. Some folks drum, dance, or close their eyes and meditate.
What our drum circle is NOT: A place where specific rhythms are played or taught. It is not a teaching class.
Beginners Wanted!
Don’t worry, even if you might think that you are rhythmically challenged. Just get started. You will find rhythms inside of you that you didn’t know you had.
Drum Circle Etiquette
1. Remove rings. They damage the drum and hurt your hands.
2. Never use a stick on a hand drum.
4. Play at the volume of the group. Make sure you can hear everyone.
5. Ask! Not sure about something? Just ask! We are a very welcoming group. We want you to feel comfortable.
