Ballet Classes For Every Body, Barre None!
The founding Resident of Room To Move, Barre None Ballet strives to bring ballet and more to every body. BNB provides a judgment free and a nurturing environment to explore dance at any age. Barre None offers a 32 week school year beginning in September and ending with a performance in our recital, Time To Groove in June. Tuition is due every other month. Costume fees apply for the school year. An 8 week summer session is also offered. To learn more about Barre None, click here.

Karaoke Kaos ~ Dean Burrell - 1st Saturday of the month
Dean is a devoted dancer with Tango Street Dance. He has been dancing with them here at Room To Move since the beginning, Feb of 2014. Finding the studio to be a comfortable and welcoming space he thought he would expand his Karaoke business by hosting a monthly Karaoke event here at Room To Move. Every 1st Saturday, you will find Dean and Karaoke Kaos here at the studio. The cost is only $10. Beginning at 8p, it is a great night of fun. Sing your favorite songs alone or duet with your friends. Light snacks are provided. BYOB/snacks if you'd like. Planning on attending? Authentic Egyptian Belly Dance & Yoga For All Skill Levels.
A founding Resident of Room To Move, Na'ama Rose is a well-seasoned, riveting performer. She is well known for her graceful, sensuous dance style. Na'ama is a devoted teacher and generously imparts her knowledge and skill with all of her students. She was one of the first dancers to receive a certificate in Egyptian dance from Egypt. Na'ama also instructs the Sunday Morning Yoga class. She teaches Iyengar-style yoga which uses props such as blankets, blocks, bolsters, belts, chairs, and mats for ease and comfort. Spear-It ~ Vibration Meditation Workshops & Drum Circle/Rhythm Rings with Jovani Robinson

Jovani and Spear-It are founding Residents of Room To Move. Jovani pieced together drummers and dancers across all styles and put them in a room to create something new and different. Spear-It has performed all across the greater Chicagoland Area at various events as well as in Room To Move's yearly show, Time To Groove. In addition to Spear-It, Jovani, the fearless leader of our monthly Drum Circle/Rhythm Ring, along with the Spear-It Drummers, also facilitate our Vibration Meditation Workshops. He is the first to encourage all people from all walks of life to give drumming a try. He creates a comfortable space for beginners and pros alike to come together and drum it up. If you haven't had the chance to meet Jovani or play a drum or shaker with him, we want you to come out and give it a try. Love Donations Appreciated. Open to those 12 years of age and up.

Supreme Martial Arts ~ Tae Kwon Do For All Ages
Supreme Martial Arts joined Room To Move in April of 2011. Instructor Dondrell Brown, Sr. has been studying martial arts for over a decade and has many awards for sparring and breaking. He saw the need to impart the concepts of respect, leadership, discipline and strength in order to gain confidence, wisdom, knowledge, and courage, to his students through martial arts. The youth today need positive role models and Room To Move is the perfect place to be. Instructor Brown and his five sons (Nyle, Donnie, Tyler, DeMarcus & Malik) have joined together to create SUPREME MARTIAL ARTS. Join this energetic family and learn to embrace the mental and physical concepts of martial arts as a way of life while having fun. We welcome you! Ki-yah!
Tango Street Dance ~ Argentine Tango, Salsa and Some with William Roberson
William joined RTM in February of 2014 hosting 'Salsa, Tango & Some' on Saturday nights. An original Chicago Soul Train dancer, William has been partner dancing and teaching since 1992. He teaches salsa, as well and some soul line dances. However, the Argentine Tango is his real love. He began his tango education several years ago with Chicago Tango Institute under Fred Romero and Charlotte Vikstrom. William has trained with various Salsa instructors in Chicago and has been teaching Salsa specifically for many years. He has recently danced as a tango extra in the film “Deadly Embrace” and appeared in the stage version of Dreamgirls.
Tango Street currently offers their social dance event 'Tango, Salsa & Some' on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month 2-4p. BYOB or snacks, includes an hour of instruction and an hour of open dancing. Registration Required.
